Grated Paneer Roast - Grated indian cottage cheese Roast - Paneer Burji



Serves : 3

Time Required : 25 Minutes

 Ingredients 

250 gms  grated Paneer  / Indian cottage cheese

2  tbsp Oil

1/4 tsp   Fennels

4 Green Chillies

1  Tomato

1 Small Onion

4 Shallots / Small onions crushed

1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

½ tsp Chilly powder( Optional)

1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder

2  tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

1/2 tsp Salt

Method of Preparation

Chop the onions, tomatoes and chillies finely.

Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan, add the cumin seeds, chopped onions and the ginger garlic paste, crushed shallots  fry  for five minutes or till brown.

Add the chillies and tomatoes and fry till they are mashed properly.

Add turmeric powder, chilly powder garam masala powder, salt  and saute for three minutes.

Add some hot water to masala and then saute five minutes to get a gravy consistency.

Add grated paneer and fry for 5 minutes till the paneer blends into the masala.

Saute for five minutes or till water dries up.

Garnish with chopped cilantro/ Coriander leaf.

Serve hot with naan or bread.

Chilli Paneer / Paneer fry / Cottage Cheese Fry




Chilli Paneer  Paneer fry
Serves  : 4

Time required : 35 minutes

Ingredients

400 gms Paneer  

2 tsp Salt

1 Egg

1/2 cup Corn Flour ( Depends frying and crispness)

2 table spoon Ginger-Garlic Paste

2 cups Coarsely Chopped Onions

2 tbsp Sliced Green Chilies

1 Capsicum sliced/ Diced

1 tblsp spring onions chopped

1 tblsp Cilantro / Coriander leaf

1 1/2 tbsp Soya Sauce

2 tbsp Vinegar

1/4 tsp Ajinomoto( Optional )

Oil for frying

Water

Method of Preparation
Sock the paneer  in hot salt water and squeeze the water from paneer cubes.

Blend the following together      1 tsp salt , egg , corn flour, ginger garlic paste and water to make a  batter.

Coat paneer cubes in this  batter/Mixture.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer pieces coated with mixture till golden in color.

Heat 2 tbsp of the oil in a wok and stir fry the onions in it over high heat for half a minute.

Add the green chillies, salt, soya sauce, vinegar, ajinomoto, capsicum  and the fried paneer cubes.  Heat for two minutes.

Mix well, and garnish the chilli paneer with finely cut spring onions and coriander leafs / Cilantro
