Indian Spicy Tangy Fried Rice - Masala Pulao




Serves :3

Time Required : 30 Minutes

ingredients

Cooked basmati rice – 3 cups

Onion – 1 small, finely sliced

ChoppedGinger and garlic – 1tsp each

Chilli powder -1/2-1 tsp

Blackgram/ Urd dal – 1 tsp

Coriander powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Garam masala – ½ tsp

Chicken Masala – ½ tsp

Lemon juice – 2 tbsp

Cooked carrot and beans  - 1 Cup

Boiled Chick peas -  2 tbsp

Coriander  Chopped  - 1 tbsp

Mint  leaf chopped  –  1 tsp

Bayleaf - 1

Salt to taste

Ghee/oil –  

Method of Preparation

Heat ghee/oil in a deep bottom pan. Add  urd dal andthen finely sliced onions. When it turns golden brown, add chopped  ginger and garlic. Cook for a  3 -5 minutes.
Add the masala powders and cook till the oil appears.

Add lemon juice and salt and mix it. Add  carrot, beans and chickpeas and sauté for a while. Add cooked rice and mix it gently.

Garnish with the chopped coriander,bayleaf and mint leaves.

serve with raita, pickle and boiled eggs.
